The third child of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge is going to be christened on Monday, July 09. With the announcement of Christening date, the excitement is started to build among royal watchers especially Kate fans and well-wishers to see the elegant Duchess once again. Duchess who is currently on maternity leave is the uncrowned Queen of the fashion world. I have no doubt that just like the christening of her elder children this time once again Duchess will wear one of the bespoke pieces of her favourite designer Sarah Burton from Alexander McQueen.
The label has become The Duchess’s go-to source for royal events since her wedding to Prince William in 2011. Still, just because of my passion for the royal wardrobe, I am going to dedicate few posts in the upcoming week to my favourite royal The Duchess of Cambridge and putting together an outfit that is worth of Duchess’s attention. Here comes the first ensemble of the series:
The ensemble contains An ivory wool crepe Mount coatdress with matching ivory silk shift dress from another Kate’s favourite designer Catherine Walker. Keeping up with the royal tradition the hat is a must part of the ensemble. Here I am choosing a label I do not believe Catherine has ever worn – Tracy Hillel. The ivory hat is called Ally – A fine sisal circular pillbox with a handmade silk rose and crystal millinery veiling. We have seen Kate going for her trusted Gianvito Rossi suede pumps so many times that I am not even going to look for another matching piece. Another wardrobe recycle option is Kiki Mcdonough gold hoops with Annoushka pearls.
So what do you think of this ensemble? I will be back with some other choices in the upcoming week.
